Job Vacancy: Testing Engineer - Specialist Dust & Fume Extraction Equipment

Following continued business growth the Company wishes to recruit a talented individual who is self motivated and keen to develop a long term career within a specialist engineering services provider. Candidates must have a sound knowledge of engineering, safety legislation and commercial awareness. Experience working within manufacturing plants is essential.

General Duties:
  • Thorough Examination and Testing of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems and preparing test certification to HSG258 standard
  • Changing filter media to dust collectors
  • General Office based computer activities
  • Prepare site safety information
  • Support to installation team

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Knowledge of Dust & Fume Extraction and ventilation Systems, preferably with a BOHS P601 qualification or Occupational Hygiene experience
  • Have a sound knowledge of basic engineering principles and be able to apply them to problems within a variety of industrial environments
  • Good self management and site experience essential
  • Good personal skills to communicate effectively with others
  • Experience of Safety Systems with some formal training in Risk assessment
  • Be willing to Learn and apply new skills
  • Building Services and previous Facilities Management experience an advantage
  • Full clean driving license
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office software is essential and Autocad experience would be an advantage

Training:
  • Ongoing Training and development will be provided for Specialist activities
  • Recognised training in an engineering discipline is essential
  • A good multiskilled apprenticeship would be an advantage
